Forgive me mothers, it's been a couple of months since my last post.
So, where to now? I ask myself.
I have the travel memoir bits, ok. I have the idea of conversing with MD, ok. I have the story of Marj which I have begun to tell here in snippets. As my mentor reminded me.. it doesn't have to be a big book, small is good, small is do-able, you don't have to tell the WHOLE story.
Ok, that's good. Ok, so all that stuff you tell your students, apply to yourself. Summer is a comin in you keep telling them, A great time to finish something. FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED! you tweeted to the world, as you advertised Summer Writers Lab, designed to motivate writers to complete thair draft over the summer. Did you forget to tweet it to yourself?
Here's the tasks you gave them at the first lab:
1. Set up a writing timetable
Sundays all day.
Plus one hour early morning per every other day.
2. Make a map - of where you are now in your writing project, where you are going.
Doing it as we speak!
3. Set your writing goals for the next lab (Dec 11).
Four blog posts.
4. Finish something, a scene, a section, a chapter, a story, a synopsis, for the next lab.
Yes Maam!
